No reported crimes

We are pleased to report that Ridgeway Ward has had no reported crimes since yesterday. It is normal to have some crimes occur or be reported, to which the local team would check so that we are aware of what is happening on the ward.

This is welcomed news as typically, this time of year normally sees an increase in burglaries, thefts and shoplifting. We would still urge everyone to be careful, be aware of those pick-pocketing when shopping, and take extra measures against burglaries. Also, take this opportunity to check on any vulnerable neighbours you may have and make sure they are OK. Elderly residents are vulnerable to distraction burglary or scammers arriving at their door. If any elderly or vulnerable neighbours are near you, have a knock and see if they are OK. A small gesture can go a long way.
